I'm currently living in southeast Michigan. I am available for assignments in Michigan and beyond.
I was living in Aarhus, Denmark and studying at the Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) until my home university called me back to the U.S. due to COVID-19. I'll be receiving my bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in sociology from Michigan State University in May 2020.
In the fall of 2019, I completed a 6-month internship at The Boston Globe. Previously, I have worked as a photo intern at The Herald in Jasper, Indiana and at The Grand Rapids Press/MLive.com in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In between my internships, I have worked at my college newspaper, The State News, as the photo editor and as a staff photographer. I am also an alumnus of the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI.
As a first-generation college student who grew up in a lower-income bracket with a single mother, it has influenced the way I find stories. It has driven me to document how human beings are interconnected and brought closer to one another.
